View Full Version : Write the beach boardwalk...get the band back next year!

Would be good for the Fixx if those who enjoyed the Santa Cruz show drop a line to the Boardwalk and let them know about it. For maximum impact, please try to:

1. Write it out by hand and stick a stamp on it. Takes more effort than email and makes a bigger impression.
2. Don't mention you're a big Fixx fan. They expect to hear from the fans. Just say how much you enjoyed the performance and how you'd love to see them back next summer so you can bring more friends along.

Grab those pens and start scribbling! :)

Hi Justin,

I wasn't at the show, but I understand it was exceptionally good. We will
definitely keep that in mind while booking the concert series for next year!

Thanks for writing, we appreciate hearing your commments.

Best regards,

Deborah Hopewell
Communications Manager

I got that from Deborah, now all i would ask is if we could get a few more of us to write and we can really get the boys another show :D

LOL Heimo! That is a brilliant song.

I would love to make the 29th July show also, but airline prices at that time are twice as much as they are now, but who knows, maybe if I have won the lottery by then....(reminder: start playing the lottery then!)

Jeanne, you also need to start playing the lottery ;)

Is Clive old enough for me to wear the fishnet??

Hopefully I don't have to wear one of those really silly awful bridesmaid dresses. I don't think that i could take that AND the roller-coaster!

Alannah86

I love roller coaster. I am sure that american ones are much bigger then here in europe. Saw a great wooden one on german tv a few days ago. But I guess i prefer some somersault or loopings.

By the way: Is this still my wedding you are all talking about :D

Wow just imagine our faces growing pale and feeling sick after the roller coaster.

PS: But I will not wear a fishnet. I leave that up to Clive ;)
Why not? It's all happening by the sea...

YOU ARE ALL CRAZY!!!! :D

heimo
02-23-2005, 12:36 PM

Alannah86
02-23-2005, 12:49 PM
hmmmm....Two Different Views would be a rather odd wedding song! Well, at least it's not Secret Separation LOL!

deBASHmode
02-23-2005, 12:58 PM
Not many Fixx songs would easily fit a wedding, would they? Maybe something like Gypsy Feet....

heimo
02-23-2005, 01:05 PM
What about I'm life? Ok, just if you like to see some guests and your grandmother leaving the party very early ;)

heimo
02-23-2005, 05:16 PM

That would be fine with me - I like Katrina.
Problem is, will you have fun? Isn't she big on the poppy disposable happy horse doo doo that brings up the bile to the back of our throats? You know, the CDs that we wouldn't **** on to put out a fire. (raising a glass to Matt Pinfield). She would be miserable at a Fixx show.

Or, with any luck, there could be an AWAKENING!!

Come what may.

"We now interrupt our regularly scheduled program for an On Topic Message..."

July 29! I think I'm going to have to plan on this one!! I had planned on visiting SC 2 weeks ago, but preferred San Fran over SC in the rain. I can't wait to get back to the Boardwalk! Especially for another great Fixx show!

"...and now back to our regaularly scheduled program..."

Congrats to all of you soon to be hitched :D

I'll send an email and seeing as how I live about 3 miles from the boardwalk I'll hand deliver a written letter as well.

Like last time, I'm about to write the boardwalk and thank them for having The Fixx play. Roger mentioned the boardwalk is interested in bringing them back again next year, so if we all drop them an email or letter of thanks, telling them how much we enjoyed it, that will just help nudge the process along a little. It's just a fantastic setting for their music and our friendships.

Here's the email address if others want to join me: publicity@scseaside.com

Just wrote a quick E-Mail. It would mean so much to so many people. If the powers that be bring them back next Summer !
