FYI... I spoke with the Mgr at the Hotel Indigo who told me that the show on the 25th is a Private Show (for the Grand Opening of their new Vegas style restaurant) by invitation only. The Mgr said that he MAY open up the show to the public IF there ends up being enough room. He told me to go to the BOKX website (the link is on the tour page) and sign on. He indicated that invitations would be sent out from that sign on list. I have it on good authority from another source that if you plan to go to the show "SIGN ON...Tickets will be available".

Ugh, this sure is sad news, but I did sign up, so I'm crossing my fingers. I sure hope they allow the purchase of more than one ticket per email, if I get invited. Maybe I've got to convince my boyfriend to sign up.

I can hear Cy's voice telling me to think positive

Glad to find some info here about the Newton show. I hope it works out for all and we get tickets for that show... It seems like it will be an interesting place for a show.. and anyways, what good is a Fixx show without Fixx fans!!

Well said Laurieg456!

I will be there, luckily and I'll try to get the crowd dancing if they are duds! There's nothing worse than playing to a crowd where there is no energy or excitement. I hope some of you get in so we can be a part of the magic that happens when these guys play.

Dan noticed they have a phone # on the little audio clip that was posted to their website recently. I wish I knew whether it would help or hurt our chances of being invited to call and inquire about the show. If I thought it would help, I would definitely make the call, and hope others would join me.

Called the number today...no answer...I'm trying not to get horribly bummed out... :(

Had an email from Hotel Indigo saying that The Fixx show is "sold out" and no tix will be available. They must have gotten tired of me logging onto their site several times a day for the promised update. So much for patience! On a happier note the owner of the Tupelo in NH said he has made an offer for the Rockin the Colonies show on July 14th. Hopefully that will have a happier ending!

At least you got an email... :( I did see the same info on their website, though. Really strange how they're pretending tickets went on sale; why not just say it's a private event like they did on the phone?

I'm glad NH may work out, but I won't be able to do that one...have to be back at work that day.

Oh well, roll on DC, Portsmouth, and Middletown, DE...with one less show to go to now, I'm feeling less guilty we splurged for good tix for DE! Hehehe... :p

New Rockin' The Colonies date added for July 14th, Tupleo Music Hall, Londonderry, New Hampshire. M & G for the first 5 rows.

Its a VERY intimate venue. Its literally an old colonial house with the walls ripped out. Very much like a house party with the band. Its a BYOB venue with a $3 fee for those who are drinking. I just saw The English Beat there in May. The Beat sells the place out on their own so if you want tix, you need to act fast!

Purchase tickets here....

I HAVE BEEN ASKED TO POST THIS REGARDING NEWTON SHOW!
Five pair of tickets are being made available to the Newton show by BOKX 109 president, Lou Carrier. Some may remember Lou as the GM of the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando who created Velvet Sessions and started bringing The Fixx there in 2002. He was also Exec VP of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and created their Friday night pool concert series in 2006 and had The FIXX perform their as well. Huge FIXX fan and a close friend of Cy. He's kicking off his first independent project in Boston and talked to Cy & the boys about joining in the fun. Extra excitement about Dan's return to band & their first reunited US performance!
Lou's place has been getting a ton of media buzz and the Grand Opening event was just named the hottest party in Boston to get an invitation to in 2008 by The Boston Globe!
The first five people to email the following address (adriana@bokx109.com) after midnight tonight (so, Monday morning 12am!) will be put on the invitation list for the show. You need to email your full name, name of guest, cell phone # and home address. Must be 21. Any emails received before midnight will get bounced. Those lucky to get selected will be given info on how to get their tickets. Good luck.

So, I'm curious....did anyone receive a response to their e-mail? I find the whole thing rather bizarre. Surely, it could have been handled better.

I'd also love to know what kind of merch is being sold....

See you very soon Bud !

Nope. I've been wondering who the lucky winners were...too bad they don't seem to be anyone from here. At least we had a beautiful red sky tonight to compensate us for not being able to go :(

Stuff from Calm Animals? Now that just made the wait for the DC show much more electric!

I was there last night. The show was great. I honestly had never heard of the Fixx before last night but they really impressed me. It appeared that the show was being recorded there were 2 or three guys with nice looking video cameras as well. I wonder if that will find its way out there?

What a great thing!! You're first Fixx show and it motivated you to search them out and join our little forum, here!!!

The show was good. I did not like the lighting, but the sound was good. The boys played in front of a pool and it was annoying because we had to watch from the side.

I asked one of the cameramen who they were taping the show for and he said the hotel. I don't know anymore than that. I did my own recording of the show, but personally I've been more impressed at other times.

They played Yesterday, today which was AMAZING. During soundcheck they did The Flow, but opted not to do it come show time. I was lucky enough to see it. They did question and opinions and less cities as well as woman on a train and of course the hits.

I hope whoever is at tonight and tomorrow nights shows has a blast!!!!! I wish I could be there.

Incidentally, I heard they will be taping tonight's show...

Thanks for the reports! Can't wait to hear about the Florida shows. Yesterday, Today, Question, Opinions, and possibly The Flow? Cool! I can't wait to see the merch, and possibly help sell some!

Getting psyched...14 DAYS!!! :goodie:

Thought of some more ?'s after the fact...

So, were there any brand new songs?

Since the show was poolside, did anyone order dinner, or just drinks? Did they have other foods besides just steak & such? How was the food?

The food and drink were excellent. The crowd was good, as well. They cheered and clapped.

No new songs.

I failed to get the song list. Started with Deeper, went into How Much Is Enough, I think... They also played Cause To Be Alarmed! They played two of the new songs, Everyone Believes in Something and Life Goes On.
Will put a few snapshots on thefixx.com

I forgot that some people consider Everyone Believes and Life goes on as new songs. They've been playing them for quite a while now, so I don't consider them as new.

Hope everyone had a wonderful time last night and will do so this evening in St. Pete!!!!
