I can vouch for that, which is why I have learned to be well-armed with my own arsenal of fragrance, that no one can indentify but always wonder why it smells better than anything else they've smelled all day.Quote:

I have to admit I am getting really sick of the smell of scented candles everywhere, and air fresheners all over creation. Coupling the smell of a weird perfume with SMOKE doesn't help it.
Do enjoy being around females who wear a hint of nice fragrance. Myself, if I apply cologne those "scent-allergies" start acting up. So I wear Essence Of Shoeman. I'm told it's a fresh, clean smell.......
Is that anything like English Leather? :pQuote:

If you trace my ancestry, it would be more like "Irish Leather." ;)
i have two favorites i wear sparingly also one is pure patchouli oil and the other is lilac cologne by yves rocher. i usually switch off days with those two. dee:wave:
Note to self: Nag Champa incense. Not a good offering to The Queen...Quote:

Well.....speaking of smelling things....has anyone tried that product called Scent Stories? I think its a CD player that plays CD's with scents on it. Sounded very weird when I heard about it. It's either fantastic or a real bomb. Never heard of anyone whose bought it.
Always wondered what scent "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was... ;)
I think that "teen spirit" smells like whatever scary scent is coming from your teenager's room!! When my youngest daughter was a teen she thought she was a re-born 60's activist and her "teen spirit" always smelled of nag champa and patchouli oil. Neither of which do much for me. I much prefer my home to smell of lilacs, tulips and sweetpea.
Or perhaps "teen spirit" is the last smell of sweetness and fresh air - before they become engulfed in the trials and tribulations of the adult world.

Q: Colognes/Perfumes
What kinds of colognes, perfumes do you prefer or wear?
A: I guess you' ll have to come to a show and find out yourselves...
I have like 3-5 bottles of nice stuff on hand..... and i rotate them with my theme or mood(s)..
I m not giving away trade secrets like that!!
laughing-
You'll have to come up to me and ask- and break the ice!
"My......... Diamond... what is that alluring fragrence you is wearing?"
D's reply: "uh That's michelob- i hit a bump in the truck!" that's from JFoxworthy actually!

There's one I have called Dulce Vanilla. Oh, now that's one that has some fabulous layers to it! Everytime I put it on, I swear it's something new about it! Nice, rich, like it becomes you. . .
Then there's Amari by Avon. I will always love that one! I used to have Bridges, California (Jaclyn Smith), and Roses, Roses by Priscilla Presley. That is one badass fragrance! Then Yardley has this lily of the valley scent I've been bathing in lately. . . it smells just like those that I used to pick in my yard when I was a little girl. It's just clean and doesn't bother allergies. . . a whiff of a late spring, early summer day. . . refreshing here in the wintertime.
I have an entire box I haven't even dented yet. But two that are innocent are Chantilly and Baby Soft. I know you're like, "Baby Soft?!", but that was the first one Mom bought me when I was thirteen and going girly whether I liked it or not! Chantilly is a scent my granny wore. Nuff said!
DejaPete, if you have an Old Navy nearby, stop in and see if they carry the "ON Body" line from Kiss My Face there. (The Old Navy I go to is the flagship store, so it may carry stuff that isn't in all of their shops.) One of the fragrances is white chocolate + orange, and it smells just like sugar cookies. It's too rich for me, but I'm way hypersensitive to rich scents. It might be just the thing to bring home for your missus, though.
Preshie, I love Baby Soft. It's so, well, precious! They used to make a scent in that line called "Rain", and I loved that one, too. Very clean - smelled like fresh laundry.
Dejapete:
Sometimes you can find the Kiss My Face product line at the natural food stores, too. Wild Oats grocery carries it out here.
Yeah, Bash, I thought it smelled nice but a bit too rich for me, too.
Kim:)
