Most boards I'm on allow stealth mode - ultimately you can always see how many people are visiting. If we all log out and visit as guests, you're back to "hey, lots of people here, but no names!"...

I prefer stealthage, myself. I tend to leave a separate browser tab open to the board, so it looks like I'm on all the time, even if I haven't actually looked at that...
