    It's Frightening

Amazing new album. Heavy on the percussion. Lots of piano. Guitar, too, but not always strongly featured. Good melody and harmony.

"If one generalization can be made about indie-rock bands, it's that most of them tend to overvalue guitars and under-utilize drums. Neither holds true for this energetic sextet from the college town of Columbia, Missouri;"

I'm currently listening to Animal Collective's first real competition for "album of the year": Grizzly Bear's "Veckatimest". Its stunning beauty and amazing, creative arrangements and angelic vocals and gorgeous melodies (particularly on the album's first single: "Two Weeks") are absolutely breathtaking!

    Just a whole lotta WOW!

    "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix"- Phoenix

This is definitely one of the best albums I've heard this year! It's so wonderfully catchy and energetic and ***-shaking! "Lisztomania" is easily the single of the moment. I urge all "80s cohorts" to check out the "bratpack mash-up" homemade video to this outstanding song on You Tube. It's SO good and almost perfectly synchronized in all respects.

Simply beautiful. It sounds simple anyway. Actually, it took over two years to create this album, making it doubly beautiful.

    Talking Feeling BECK-ish

Been dipping into the back catalog a bit today:

Odelay, The Information, Guero...and Modern Guilt.

Can't wait for the next new thing he comes up with!
