Hello Bash,
Thank you these are the kind of ideas I was hoping for. Anyone else have some great ideas?

The past 9 months, Lisa and myself have changed our return address labels, we run a toy shop and also an ebay shop, sending about 1500 items per annum through the mail, going worldwide.
We order our labels through Vistaprint and they allow you to upload your own design, was expensive for the first batch but cheap enough with each subsequent order.
Take a look, see what you think, don't forget, you can put any design you like, as long as you own the rights, well I don't own the rights obviously, but thought, "What the hell" and clicked yes anyway......![]()
Label size is about 3cms x 1.5cms but very effective and eyecatching. Had loads of customers asking about them and obviously been pointing them in the direction of Vistaprint and the Fixx.

don't know why the image isn't showing, linked it to the URL in the add image box, but just shows the link to it instead. just click it, and you'll see what I mean anyway.

How do I post a PDF file here? Just the artwork for the return address labels is more clear on the pdf proof file I have.

I can see the image.
Looks fine
Hello All.
Crucified stole my thunder. This morning I was thinking about how to reach out to Fixx fans that seem to be all over the world. Many fans never get to see them perform live. A DVD set of 20 or so songs would be great!

But I just wish the Fixx would release a dvd of a live show instead of an another live cd. The Fixx has more live cds than any band I know with the exception of maybe KISS and Styx. But they have no live DVDs. How about making a limited edition DVD available.

Yesterday I sent an email in to Schelby, who hosts the Noon radio call-in block on our local Arrow 94.7 classic rock station. Here's what I wrote....
<<Thanks for playing such diverse music at lunchtime. I'm usually in the car at that time and I really enjoy the variety and quality of the mix.
I'm a huge, diehard fan of The Fixx, Schelby. This band has treated their fans with amazing kindness and generosity over the last 20+ years, so we're really loyal. Could you play something by them, maybe "Red Skies?" They are going to be at The State Theater in Falls Church next Friday, the 9th. I hope that all of their other local fans know about it. Not sure if you could mention something about it, but since I'm trying to get flyers and posters up around town about it, I'd be most appreciative.>>
So, I got an email back from her this morning. She said she just played the song a couple of days ago and did, indeed, mention the upcoming gig. Yay. I recommend trying this in your town. We can reach a lot of fans in the desired demographic this way.
Great job Muse, this is a great example of what we ned to do....

Duh! With the election coming up, why don't we encourage radio stations or talk show hosts to use the song "Elected." I know it's not typical Fixx but still, they might get a few royalties (wouldn't they?)
Well what are the lyrics to the song?
or did I miss something? Do they need to know the words? ...I guess that would be the best way to peak their interest in the song... okay... I know the words aren't on the sleeve but I'll have them for you by tonight (hubby switched cars with me today and that cd's in my car)
Wait- maybe I can remember...
you have to be a certain type (to get elected)
have to be a master of hype (to get elected)
have a strange private life (to get elected)
the perfect husband or wife (to get elected)
don't stand too close to the right (to get elected)
stay well clear of the left (to get elected)
always have the right advice (to get elected)
and never, ever think twice (to get elected)
and would you do it all over again?
would you do it all over again?
and so on...
It's definitely tongue in cheek (or is it?). Don't you think it would be good for morning talk radio shows where they make fun of everything from bagles to barmaids?
Well, let me know your thoughts...
Looks fine to me
Ran across the whole set of lyrics in a press release from Ron Rainey earlier this year:
Elected
Got to be the certain type (to get elected)
Got to be a master of hype (to get elected)
Have a strange private life (to get elected)
A perfect husband or wife (to get elected)
And you do it all over again
Why don’t you do it all over again?
I am the right voice (to get elected)
Present the perfect choice (to get elected)
Always give the right advice (to get elected)
But never ever, ever think twice (to get elected)
And you do it all over again
Yes you do it all over again
Just do it all over again
Why don’t you do it all over again
Don’t stand too close to the right (to get elected)
Steer well clear of the left (to get elected)
Look at life as a game (to get elected)
Able to take the strain (to get elected)
But always be prepared to fight (to get elected)
Shout out the people’s rights (to get elected)
Just do it all over again
We do it all over again
Nowhere to fan the flames
While the road is burning
He ends always the same
After all, what’s it for, you’re elected!
Do it all over again
Just do it all over again
Just do it all over again
Why don’t you do it all over again?
Going down in flames (to get elected)
Always pass the blame (to get elected)
Able to take the strain (to get elected)
Do it all over again
Oh, do it all over again
Yes do it all over again
Oh do it all over again
Thanks so much! I'm certain some of those lyrics are wrong, however. Here's what I get when I listen to it:
you've got to be a certain type (to get elected)
you've got to be a master of hype (to get elected)
have a strange private life (to get elected)
the perfect husband or wife (to get elected)
and you do it all over again
why do we do it all over again
lie in the right voice (to get elected)
present the perfect choice (to get elected)
always give the right advice (to get elected)
but never ever ever think twice (to get elected)
and you do it all over again
yes, you do it all over again
just do it all over again
why do we do it all over again?
don't stand too close to the right (to get elected)
stay well clear of the left (to get elected)
look at life as a game (to get elected)
able to take the strain (to get elected)
but always be prepared to fight (to get elected)
shout out for peoples' rights (to get elected)
just do it all over again
we do it all over again
know when to fan the flames
while Rome is burning
the end's always the same
after all, what's it for?
you're ELECTED
would you do it all over again
yes, do it all over again
just do it all over again
why do we do it all over again
know when to fan the flames (to get elected)
always pass the blame (to get elected)
able to take the strain (to get elected)
I sent an email to Rush Limbaugh and Kevin & Bean (kroq) yesterday. I'm going to send one to 103.7 also. Any other suggestions? Thanks for helping. I appreciate that you took the time to type in all those lyrics. I know what it's like...

Here's a new one.
Burn a copy and accidentally on purpose leave it in the bathroom at work. A curious person will bring it home and play it.
But don't label it, "The Fixx". Instead, label it, "my favorites" or something like that. If it says "The Fixx", they will know it's yours and return it to you.
Someone at my job actually did leave a CD. I listened to it and I kind of like it.
