Hello from a UK newbie

Greetings from Wimbledon!

I have been a Fixx fan for over 20 years and only recently discovered this message board so I thought I'd join in and say hi to you all.

I find it quite disappointing that most UK music shops here do not have any Fixx CD's in stock, I'll never in a million years figure out why they never became that popular over here, whilst some other crap 80's bands (who shall remain nameless became huge!)

I do hope they tour over here sometime soon, if not I guess I am buying a ticket for the U.S so I can see them again after all these years. I saw them back in 1983 and then again in 1986 in Miami, where I used to live (how time flies!, I suddenly feel very old! )

Thanks for the welcome Wilkie, sadly I must admit that I never heard about them, what a shame!
But it's good to know they have toured over here, which gives me hope they'll tour again soon!

Talks of distributing CDs in Euro/UK have dragged on for two years now. There is just no good deal on the table for them - meaning they would not make a penny on sales. There is still A LOT being discussed and hopefully - HOPEFULLY - everything will get worked out before Summer. We are sitting on so many plans, but nothing we can announce until we know they will in fact happen.
A tour through Europe - the guys would love to, they just don't know when...
We have all noticed a jump in activity by fans and audiences. The guys, and Fixxtures, are all incredibly optimistic!

I have resorted to buying CD's from the American Amazon website, though I have noticed the UK site does have some Fixx CD's including their most recent one, which I have not purchased yet! I am a also newbie to their recent work but I am looking forward to catching up

So Alannah, how is it that you get around so much: Florida, Calif, England...? I used to live in Florida too by the way.
