Talking What was your last record?

    Hello!

    Still so quite in fixx-land...
Maybe you all like to tell for which kind of record (cd/DVD) you last spend some money?!

I got myself the new dvd from saga. There are a lot of old songs on it. But after watching and listening I do not know if anybody needs that kind of stuff today.

Very interesting when Leadsinger Michael Sadler tells about Rupert Hine "forced" him to sing the middlepassage from "Wind him up".Very early in the morning Sadler was woken up by a technician, got some headphones and a microphone. Then a voice (R. Hine, sitting in the studio) told him to sing - and of course to stay in bed.

    Stay tuned and take care,
    heimo

Dave Gahan's (lead singer of Depeche Mode) first solo CD, Paper Monsters, along with Ghost In the Machine (The Police), which I hadn't heard in years. Still sounds great.

Just bought tickets this morning for Dave's show at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago.

Just bought Train's new CD called My Private Nation. They ousted the songwriter and rhythm guitarist and boy does it show. The new album sucks!

Ok, I take that back, I just wanted to say that because it sounded funny. Without the lead songwriter the lyrics are very shallow. Without the presence of his acoustic guitar the atmosphere is much to electric (for them).

It's OK, but I think I need to warm up to it.
    Cheers
    Steve

that dave matthews one is pretty good.

Last one I bought was Neil Finn's "One All". It has about 5 songs I really like on it.

Last Dvd I bought was "Office Space". I enjoy that movie because that's generally the way I feel about jobs.

Next on my list is a fixx cd and the dvd for "better off dead" in keeping with the fixx theme.

Last CD I bought was the soundtrack to the Matrix Reloaded. Not as good as the first, or as good as I had hoped. I have the remaster of Kate Bush's _Hounds of Love_ on order...

Last DVD I bought was A Bug's Life (collector's edition), mostly for the little one.

The last CD I bought was the new Steely Dan "Everything Must Go". IMO it's better than "Two Against Nature" and Walter Becker actually sings a song on it.

The last DVD I bought was the Led Zeppelin one.....Rain, it is incredible.

Anyone cross over to Country? I think the Dixie Chicks "Home" is excellent... Beautiful album. Don't let the recent press about the Chicks turn you away. (hey, it even won a Grammy).

Yep - I list Trisha Yearwood as one of my all time greatest musical influences. Amazing live show, stage presence and a willingness to meet with her fans, another thing on par with the Fixx.

    Mitraria,
I am a big fan of Diamond Rio, Travis Tritt (The first 3 or 4 CDs not the most recent stuff), Marty Stuart, Trisha Yearwood & Patty Loveless.

    Rain,
You will not be disappointed with the Zep DVD. It's worth it just for the Knebworth show but it includes so much more.
