Hmm, the last five would be:

    Chuck Berry: Anthology
    Underworld: 1992-2002
Underworld: Second Toughest in the Infants
    Queen: Greatest Hits
U2: How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb

The Chuck Berry Anthology is something everyone should own, it's really amazing. Everything later owes to Chuck--you will not believe how much of this anthology is stuff you know that you didn't realize you knew. And you'll realize lots of other music you know is actually much more derivative than you might have thought. Of course, the main thing is that it's just really great music!

Experience Hendrix - Been meaning to buy a Hendrix CD for ages.
The Killers Hot Fuss - Love their latest song Somebody Told Me.

Sunburn, Underworld are fantastic, love them.

Pippi, have you watched the 1011 Woodland videos yet? You probably already know this, but there are a couple of hidden videos. It was mentioned on this thread:

The one titled "Who Cleans The Tour Bus?" gave me a good laugh.

There's some great remixes of Love Like Blood and 80's out there too...fun stuff! I listen to them a lot when I'm buried in my office.
Oh boy, that takes me back! I saw the band in 1985, at London's Hammersmith Palais. There was a weird atmosphere in there; more of a dark, spiritual thing, than a normal gig

I do like a lot of the songs on TAPP, but I think I do like TIGT better.

I'm also in the midst of reading the Squeeze: Song By Song book.

There is talk of Glenn releasing a 4-cd set of demos of his... at first for release in January, now I think it's pushed back to February... we'll see...
Ah yes, Glenn is a top bloke. I haven't got the book yet, but I plan to. I'm on his mailing list, so I hope to hear about the cd release, soon.

Did you know that Rick Smith and Karl Hyde, used to be in a band called 'Freur'? They had a minor hit with 'Doot Doot', but then folded in on themselves. They created the band 'Underworld', which on the start, was more of a rock-pop band, than a dance act.

Freur - ah memories - another fine Welsh band - formed in Cardiff.

    Angry what a rip!

Was browsing in FYE last week when I came across a little cd that featured extended versions by the Fixx. . . when I took it out and played it, it was a complete rip from 1011 and 20th Century masters! I was pissed beyond all comprehension! I'm like "dude, why did BMG try to pull a fast one and release this?! Do the guys know about this?!" Needless to say, I am going to find out about this one. Why would you repackage something like that and rip people off? I think 1011 is fabulous the way it is, especially since it's a double cd, and then you get that?!

pissed at BMG because real Fixx fans know where the songs came from

Not since Pearl's Girl? Then you missed Beaucoup Fish, which many say is their best. You should definitely give it a listen!

Adam Woods would second that call on Beaucoup Fish - he recommended it as their best, along with A Hundred Days off as another can't-pass-up disk. I'm enjoying both discs heartily!
