Me in the 80s, complete with mullet. The bass may interest Alannah. Move over Dan K Brown!

Alannah, yes it is... I knew you'd recognise it. I still have it, but as you may recall from the Borderline, the mullet is no more!

LOL smarthound! Yes, I do remember you have no mullet now and I am no longer walking around with a blonde wig or silly fingerless gloves...Thank goodness for that

You still have the bass? Nice one! Wish I still had mine. But silly me sold it years ago! However, I don't really miss playing it. Instead, I now have a Washburn black electric guitar, because after all, I am not a real bass player, but a frustrated guitar player

Oh I can imagine how you feel. I am a frustrated guitar player too. I am working very hard to improve my style. Sometimes it can be so hard to make just three or five tones to sound like a real blues. But I am happy about every little step i make. So keep on pushing, Alannah!

I have been playing guitar for years actually Heimo. Runs in the family. My grandfather was a classical/spanish guitar player

But you are right, every little step helps and the more you practice the better you get!

Still looking for the Cyndi Lauper/Madonna photo, but I did find one from about 1983...my attempt at a cool curly mullet ended up a lot more Orphan Annie than I wanted!

Bash...that's great! I need to find earlier...I know I have some SOMEwhere...

And prom that year...the dreaded "bubble dress"...man... what was I thinking??? Of course, the next "formal" I bought was metallic torquoise that was asymmetric, strapless...with a giant bow in the front. Woo hoo! I still have my patent spike heels with the sheer nylon ties though...just for an 80's night of groovin'!
