Actually TDV has not been played recently, at least I didn't hear it at any of the gigs I have attended in the UK or US recently.

Does anyone here know what a truely perfect song Happy Landings is??? It's THE best song on the cd by far songwriting-wise.... it is a gem.....the other stuff is cool, HL stands on it's own...
also 2 Different View is OK...a nice song does nothing for me
Fatal Shore?? Are you serious? I tagged this filler when I bought Elemental years ago....now it's in their set....amazing.....I suspect many here have no idea what constitutes a great song....sorry to be a dick.

you're right Steve, my frustration carries over from other more aggressive boards where we have endless debates on what song is better than another....alot of us are musicians so the debates get interesting
ex) BOw wow wow best of cd....I say Do you wanna Hold ME is as perfect a song as can be, then some clown comes in and says Louis Quatorze blows it away.....very frustrating...

Very glad to see TDV equal with Fatal shore.The two most powerful songs on this album.
CY's vocal range in Happy landings is amazing....a truely wonderful song.
Life whats killing me has not recieved a vote? is it just me or are there other fixxtures here who are not real keen on it?

It's a positive song, amidst a lot of dark stuff they do. (And Cy's mum approves of it)
It's also the best melody they have done so far.
Why can't you do more more songs like "Happy Landings"?

Hmmm. My copy of Elemental doesn't have that song.
Steve is just trying to keep the thread afloat on page one. I think what we need is a separate forum for polls.
So, The Whistler and I agree on "Happy Landings"...
I think yet to be released "Everyone Believes in Something" could be a winner also. Expect to hear some good stuff from the new Fixx album.
