I love this album/dvd. I haven't listened to it for a while; still, what comes quickly to mind is "Woman on a Train." Plus I love the picture of Cy standing next to the train looking sad...

I believe Steve is bumping the thread to subtly tell us, C'mon vote! This poll at the moment has only 49 votes...the lowest of them all.

Perhaps more people out there need to go get Woodland. A mistake people make with The Fixx, I think, is that they see a title and think "Oh, I already have that song... and that song..." What they don't realize is that these are not repeat recordings. They put different versions on every album. It's one of the things I LOVE about The Fixx... one of the reason's they are the best band in the world.

I totally agree. It's a must have for your collection. The recordings on the album are interesting because they are more acoustic sounding and have a live feel to them.

The songs are also similar to how they are performed in concert these days, especially "Saved By Zero." It kind of keeps you up to date.

I love Woodland, and found the longer remastered versions of a lot of my favorite songs to be a wonderful surprise.

Even if I did not like it, I would still say buy it just to support the boys, they work really hard.
I am the winner in any event.

Yes agreed. 1011 Woodland offers NEW end extended interpretations of those classic tunes we've grown to love. A must have.

Although Woman On A Train is my all time favorite Fixx tune and the 1011 version is spectacular, I belive when this poll started I voted for I Will. My vote remains the sole vote for I will which on this version really sets me in a relaxed mode. Like Silent Geoff has said numerous times it is the emotion and feelings a song invokes in me that makes me like it or dislike it. In the case of I Will the Fixx took on Jazz and it is a WINNER!

Now, if we can just get them to take on the blues...hm I heard a fan some years ago ask Jamie if they had ever considered a blues tune. I forget what the answer was. Interesting thought though eh?

I love this album very much, especialy the 'unplugged' tunes.

    One Jungle

As a (hi-tec) newwave tune it was a masterpiece already. And as an acoustic song it sounds even more authentic, original and genuine.

You guys did such a great job!
