The medium-sized gray ones are bustards. Can't really see the other birds right now. Nice Ostriches!

Helmeted Guniea Fowl - lots of them.. I think the others are Kori Bustards.

I answered my own question - always the gemini.

Loads of baboons mulling about now. Wow. And a huge bird in the tree. Looks like a Bald Eagle - but with the white coming down further.

I must sleep, but it is feeding time in Botswana. Perhaps I should just sleep with it on - let the sounds of the wildlife lull me to sleep.

It's night-time in Botswana now - dark, but the sounds are very soothing.

Yeah...it would be nice if we could get this sound during OUR night time...sometimes a few too many bird mating calls to sleep to the daytime sounds.

Wow - is that a crocodile??? I thought that the species list said that we wouldn't see one in the pond? Scared the **** out of the impalas though!

There is a crocodile! There is one clearly visible on shore right now.

I saw a gray heron, too.

Yes, I said it was a crocodile. You think I don't know a submerged elan when I see one? He wasn't submerged - he was showing off his lovely teeth.

You forgot warthogs on your list.

    Heartfelt apology, Pippi.

I'm afraid maintaining a list is getting to be too much. I recommend you all using the checklist on their webpage.

Hmmm. Some of the animals are too little to identify on a small screen.

Hey! Can we call him Petie the Crocodile, then?

Oh come on - let's keep the list up. Maybe some other fixxtures will be inclined to join us.

you don't have to apologize - I was merely teasing. I may be "California Pippi" now - but I did spend many years as a crocodile hunter before retiring.

Or did I see that on TV??
