Yeah, I had the auto day/night screen change problem too. Only mine wouldn't change to night. Mine didn't flash like his. It eventually started working so I'm good with it now.
As far as the sound system goes, there IS NO bass in the car. There are six speakers all of which are only capable of frequencies well into the mid range and tweeter realm. I went to an auto sounds place and had 12" subwoofer with it's own amp and an additonal amp to fuel the 6 speakers that were underpowered from Honda. The stock Honda amp is like 160 watts divided by 6 channels is a mere 25-30 watts per channel. This would not do for me so I added a 250 watt amp to feed the 6 honda spakers. Only drawback is that my trunk now has two amps hanging from the decklid and a subwoofer in the right rear corner (carefull with those golf clubs)
