I thought it was great, Spock was always my fave character. Zachary Quinto is the new Spock, he nailed it.

Sorry, this one's on DVD only.
    "Bubba Ho-Tep"
You have to see it, at least once, if you are:
    1. Elvis fan.
    2. Conspiracy Theorist.
    3. Bruce Campbell fan.
    4. Looking for a movie that leaves you with a "Wow, that was a weird movie" aftertaste, including a few outbursts of laughter here and there.

I have not seen it yet.

    Would appreciate your input.......
I just saw Valkyrie. I thought it was well done. But not gripping. It was kind of like watching Titanic. You know how it will end. There were suggestions that Tom Cruise might have ruined the movie. I didn't find that to be true. He was neither overly energetic nor over the top. His role was a good fit.

    Public Enemies

Again, a Johnny Depp triumph! He became John Dillinger.

(I've been to the Dillinger museum, pretty much a rite of passage as a Hoosier).

He is really a absolutely amazing actor...all the time, you know it's Johnny Depp, but he so becomes his characters, that you completely forget that!

(no...I do not think he is "hot"...Karl Malden was a good actor, and also not "hot", too... but both fabulous talents in acting).

I think that both Robert Downey Jr. and Jamie Fox (from In Living Color) are the same kind of actors, too.

It's a movie definitely worth seeing on the big screen.

Deb and I just saw Public Enemies.
    Very well done.
Naturally, Johnny Depp and Christain Bale were remarkable.

Howard Jones: 20th Anniversary Concert Live at the Shepherd's Bush

Great concert DVD. Rent it, watch it, savor it. I never really understood Howard Jones completely until I saw him live...

    Bruno

I'd rate it "eh" on the rating scale.

Borat was much funnier (due to a Pam Anderson joke at our house).

Bruno's a cable movie for one of those nights when nothing else's on.
It's definitely NOT for kids (expect you'd know that, tho).

Knowing is well written and entertaining, but it's eschatological hogwash. I even heard it's maybe a Scientology movie. If you want a better prophesy movie, rent The Mothman Prophesies.

    BUT:

But for ****s and giggles, watch the movie to the very end. Your DVD time will display 2:01:20. According to the Mayan calendar, the world is supposed to end in 2012. Ooooooh!

Just saw The Haunting In Connecticut last night, personally I didn't like it...Dee, that's exactly what I was thinking when I watched it,haha. Some of the scenes seemed to refer to other films.

National Lampoon's Vacation and Beverly D'Angelo's bodacious tatas. That took me by surprise. I had always seen the edited version on TV. It's rated R after all. The movie has considerable language and nudity.

I also watched National Lampoon's European Vacation. I was surprised by the language and nudity in that movie even though it has a PG-13 rating.

The Vacation movies are great, IMO. You can love them or hate them. If nothing else, Lindsey Buckingham's music is pretty fun.

    The Hangover

This was very, very unexpected...it was actually quite funny!

Figured it was a guy movie, featuring Heather Graham LOL!

It was atypical, not what I thought it'd be, at all.
