    Karaoke Favorite?

Anyone have a Karaoke favorite? To sing or listen to?

Put enough drinks in me, and I'll do "La Bamba".

I used to joke that my fave thing to do at home is get drunk and sing "Red Skies," but in reality, I'd sing it clean and sober. But I can't find Fixx karaoke CDs anywhere!

Otherwise...hmm, pretty much anything, as long as I'm the center of attention.

Hey Inkblot, I go to two different bars that have FIXX karaoke songs. There is a great karaoke store in Moreno Valley, if they don't have it in stock - they will order it. And they have virtually everything available.

I did "Stand Or Fall" at Angel's Roadhouse a while back - it was fun. (Especially since I saw our boys there a while back)

But - I have three favourite songs that I sing on karaoke -

These Boots Are Made For Walking - (A song I really get into)

Harper Valley PTA - (what can I say here?)

Da' Butt '84 - (my favourite version of this timeless classic)

I used to believe that there wasn't enough alcohol to get me to sing karaoke - but - there is . . . .

How ironic! Me, along with the rest of the STL girls, and some friends went Karaoking this past Saturday. I don't sing but it is always fun to watch!

Being stuck in the 80's, the only ones I have ever tried was "Policy of Truth" by Depeche Mode and "Missionary Man" and "Sisters are Doin' It for Themselves" - Eurythmics/Annie Lennox and Aretha Franklin
At my daughter's 1st birthday we also did "Celebration". My Uncle on my dad's side does D.J. work and Karaoke. Fun for my parties as I get free entertainment. He sings reallly good himself!

    LOL Pippi!
Well, haven't reached that Karaoke alcohol limit to induce me to do it yet..."but"... if I did...I could probably pull off any Sheryl Crow song (same voice range).

    No drinks required. . .

but I can do a mean "Open Arms". And even a great falsetto without killing my voice! I guess what tripped them out was I don't even read the lyrics like a bunch of them have to. This one dude totally butchered a Ginuwine song one night, and it disgusted me so much that I didn't go back. . .

Jeff and I use to do a pretty good rendition of " Summer Loving" from Grease .... except he would sing My part all the time ... I had to keep reminding him that I am Sandy .. He is Danny,.....HA!! LOL!!!!

    i m going to jackson....

that's my girl pippi- belt out that JCash!

I did JCash's Jackson- "we got married in a fever"... song with female a co worker who sings really well- and it was at my Mom's Leukemia fundraiser- and the crowd was amazed at how close we both sounded to the original- Heck ive been singing and playing JCash since i was 4! Just usually in front of a mirror or a few friends but this gathering was a banquet hall with 200-400 people.... Remember i m kinda shy!

And my voice is a lot deeper now than when i was 4 also!

oh BTW i sang the Johnny part, and Dora sang the June part 'case you wuz wonderin'!

I'd have loved to hear you and Dora do that Diamond. I'll bet you both did it justice all while having a great time.
