    Don't

    Diamond.....

"Dr. Roger" doesn't have any "spells" to cast, and I was only at the first 2 shows, AC and MD. I've been asking for pics since then. I think Ed and / or Steve are very busy, but they'll get to it. I'm also waiting to see some select shots....

Will you be at any california shows this year?

I've got some photos of Jamie with the guitar from Lemont, IL, if anyone wants those. Pardon my ignorance, but if someone wants to point me to an appropriate posting location, please do. I don't get to jump into web board communities with both feet as I'd like, but I'll be checking this Fixx board as much as I'm able!

The PRS sounded nice, as it should - top of the line, from what I could tell. I love Jamie's old Strat, though. Lots of character.

    Sweet!

You all know I am a bass girl but.... WOWZA, is that guitar beautiful! Looks very finely crafted and I love the fingerboard!

IS Woody retiring or is he still making the rounds?

Does this one have a name yet?!

    He's lovely!

After seeing the pricetag on that beauuutiful new blue axe, I hope he went to te PRS factory near Annapolis and got it as an endorsment...

they are real nice guitars- and real pricey too...

    OUCH!

Steve, anyone.... how did it sound- Is JWO playing it thru that line 6 processor???

that guitar has 13 tone variations thru 2 switches- one a 3 way and the other a 5 way...

After he played a single coil strat (white one LOANER) as a backup to Woody in Ithaca for SBZero, it kinda made woody look pretty dull sounding- the new strat sounded so bright and chimey like the original recordings... it was a treat.... (only a slight woody dissin here....)

    glad to see him upgrade!

The two photos in my previous post are from the Detroit show on June 3, 2006.

The story I heard goes like this...the new guitar was given to him by Paul Reed Smith himself, who had a kiosk of some kind set up at the HFStival in Maryland on May 28, 2006.

As for the sound, I found it to be very warm, full bodied, and bright.

Diamond, I'm not familiar with the specifics of amps and stuff like that. Sorry I can't answer your question regarding that.

    > Is JWO playing it thru that line 6 processor???

in Lemont, he played through the usual assortment of analog stomp boxes, along with a single rack-space processor that was propped up in the road case that was holding the stomps. No Line 6 gear anywhere that I saw. He was playing the guitar through the pedals into a standard Marshall JCM-800 and 4x10 speaker cabinet.

The last look that I got of Jamie's effects was a couple years ago. He was using pedal effects into a Marshall. He gets some great tones and delay out of those somewhat outdated effects. I don't use any new stuff to speak of either. I have better luck keeping it simple with the old pedals. i have tried the rack effects but I really was not happy with any of the sounds for very long.

I like the new PRS. I havea PRS that I purchased new in 1988. I love it, it's me favorite electric guitar.
