    spam

the spam problem is an automated process, the person who creates the spam message will never visit the forum, they are paid subscribers to services such as this....

    http://www.interneo.ru/eng/

methods such as using CAPTCHA images to prevent bots from registering and/or posting can be used, but even many of those have been cracked, its the never-ending ying yang of securing n' hacking

In germany some people say it's like medicine. It's good against heartattack. If it is a lie - who cares?

Is it a coincidence that now I am getting their spam emails in the account that I used to register here? I have never received anything like that before.
I am the winner in any event.

I'm not sure how they'd get your email off this forum, unless you have it publically visible.

I'm hoping that installing V3 of the software (any day now!) will give us some more protection against the spammers.

I will check my profile on here, to make sure it didn't get out that way. But I thought that if we wanted to send an email to anyone on the forum, that the wizard (whatever it is) we use to write out email goes thru a forwarding system? Could they get it that way? Has anyone asked to send me an email? can you check?

    Thanks.
I am the winner in any event.

Just checked, and my e-mail is set to private. So it's a mystery to me now.
