    Good Question

A great question and a great thread!

First, a shout out to Rockerchic for her glowing compliments, I'm blushing!

    Things that I've done to promote The Fixx... where do I begin? We can begin with this list, doing everything with love and care;

Helping carry equipment, setting up stage, driving many many miles.

Trying to keep the social scene together like the Santa Cruz parties.

Introducing The Fixx to fans, media, and everyone who's interested.

Working with radio station people before, during, after shows.

Taking pictures and videos for TheFixx.com.

Working with Pippi, Bash, Cygnet in setting up and serving food/drinks.

Helping Ira with errends, shipping equipment, assistant to TM Ira.

Asking Ira for permission to allow fans special access to the guys.

Being on call, in reserve, during shows in case Jamie needs a string changed or someone rushes the stage.

Helping Ed meet VIP quests, giving promo CD's out to VIP's, etc.

And My favorite task: Introducing the band to the adoring crowds!!!

I consider these things labors of love and since I'm " SEMPER FIDELIS"
(Get it, Linda Z.? hahaha) for the Fixx, it's a joy for me.

I'm looking forward to seeing other fans during the California leg of the current tour, come on over and say hello!!

    Much Love,

    Dr. Roger

    John's 2 cents

John wanted me to mention that he has a Fixx window sticker from the old fan club- which he pilfered from me!- on his car.
I used to have one on my car, too, until moisture crept in and it got mildewy- yuck!
Unfortunately, I don't have any more stickers
Hey, that's an idea! The Fixx should definitely make more window stickers, so we fans can show our support!

And, of course, we wear our Fixx concert shirts- old and new- and keep cd's in our cars to play for passengers (who are trapped and can't escape).
    Love and light

    Linda ...
HOW WIERD IS THIS.... I was just talking to Msmith1 and I told her I found
one of my old Fixx stickers from the fan club ( around 1984) when I was packing my things for my move.. .and we were just discussing that they should make window clings with the logo and website address. Pippi made some really cool bumber sticker once.. and I proudly displayed it until the sun faded it to nothing.... Think of how many people you drive by on a daily basis.... They may not be a huge dollar sale at the Merch Booth...oh but the bigger picture is worth a thousand words....... I say they would be a definate marketing plus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And a very Cool way to spread the Fixx Love and Gospel....

I intend on proudly displaying my old sticker on my new car, after my move! Now if I can only handle driving on the right (or wrong...depending on how you look at it) side of the road....GULP!!!
You pass like the moon in silence
    In the warm flooded air
Looking back to those lost opportunities
    So often missed or ignored
A thousand times I start heading for the dawn
Only to turn around and face this rue once more
There 's something ahead of you

Queen -- I'll work on getting the tat pic posted over << there where everyone else has those thingies-I-forget-what-they're-called I've been thinking about doing that, just don't get the thought converted into the action.

Anyway, watch for it...but meantime you can also check it out here: http://www.thefixx.com/060306g.shtml Scroll way down, just above Steve's photos.

    Email sent

I just sent an email to the San Jose Mercury News entertainment section with the Rockin' The Colonies Tour Link for the S.F. show. Hpoefully they will publish it next week.

I have a feeling that the SF show will be sold out soon.

    Best,

    Dr. Roger

Unhappy It ain't gonna be the same!

I don't think it will be the same feel without fellow Fixxtures from the former East Meets West - We' re going to miss you tomorrow night! How we wished we could jump on a plane for the California dates! Maybe someday! Missing you all!

    The Documentary Channel

A friend of mine who I used to work for spent the last 6 years trying to launch his idea of creating a televison station devoted strictly to airing documentaries. After alot of hard work and determination he finally got it off the ground about a year and a half ago.
The Documentary Channel now is carried on the Dish Network and over the airwaves in New York City, Nashville and Denver. They now reach more than 13 million subscribers. Tomorrow night Stage Two "In The Public Eye" makes it's debut on the channel!

It took us a long time to finally get the DVD up on the air, but through persistence and help from the webmaster it hopefully now will find it's way to new audiences ready to be converted into "Fixxtures"

The Documentary Channel is still in it's fledgling stages and needs your support in order for it to survive. Especially Direct TV subscribers!

    http://www.documentarychannel.com/main/content/view/3/5

Take a look at their website and see all the cool docs that are on 24 hours a day. And don't forget to tell all your Dish Network friends about tomorrow night!
...when a breath inspires it's a sign of life...
