    Hey Rik,

At the bottom of a post you're making--below the your reply box, below the options portion, there's an attach file section where you can load, from your computer, an image. I've always put the image I wanted to load onto a post onto my desktop, then grabbed it to insert it from there.
Eh, that's all I know...I'm not a techie, by any stretch...hope that helps.

Sorry for the slow response - I've been away on a biz trip...

Kim's got it right, you can upload a pic in the Attach File section.

Or... if you have a picture on a web server, you can use the IMG tag:

OK here's the problem I'm experiencing...
When I browse for the image that I want to post, and click on it, I hit preview post or submit post and it isn't there. When i put the [IMG before the file, I can't preview. Is there a step I'm missing? And will I be able to preview the post with the image?

    Feeling dumber and dumber....

I do not believe that you can preview an image. Just attach the file and submit.

Lisa is right, attach the file and hit 'submit' - preview doesn't seem to work. Yet another bug in vbulletin!

That image is on your computer, not on the internet.

There are two ways of posting a picture:

    1) upload the picture to the forum using the "Attach file" / "Browse" button.

    2) upload the picture *somewhere else* on the internet, and then use the IMG tag to point to the image.

What you did above is to try and use the IMG tag with a picture on your local computer. That won't work: no-one can see files on your computer.

Try instead to use the "Attach file:" feature. When you respond, click the "Browse" button -- it will look something like this:
