    George Underwood "Phantoms" statue

OK, here's the back story on this....

Last week a fellow Fixxture suggested I email a picture of my "Phantoms" tattoo to George Underwood (the original artist of that album cover),

I did, and Mr. Underwood wrote me back, complimenting me on my tat, and he also sent me 2 pictures of a statue he had made based on the Phantoms album cover.
I posted this on the thread, and another Fixxture asked if I could post the pictures. I wrote back to Mr. Underwood, and asked permission to post them on these boards, and he said yes, so without further ado...

    Enjoy

Thank you, Rick and thank you Mr. Underwood! There's so much yearning and emotion in that statue. It's so beautiful and sad at the same time!

Wow, that sculpture is fantastic, and such a difficult medium to work in too. Very impressive, and rare, lucky for you to have found this, and also nice of you to request permission of Mr. Underwood himself for permission to post it. That's really cool. Respect.
I am the winner in any event.

I figured that would be the right thing to do, rather than possibly upset an artist I respect and admire...

VERY cool that he was OK with it!
