We got the hail too, but it was only about the size of cherries - of course, it looked really funny coming down at the same time as the sun was shining! My co-workers were teasing me about the hail pinging off the roof of my car, but luckily, it didn't seem to dent it. We were also marveling at a guy walking by who was holding out his hand as if he was confused why he kept getting hit in the head!!! Maybe he got hit a little too hard...
Maybe on course to the best yet!

For the first day of summer(June 20):

Mostly cloudy with a high in the mid-80s.

    Thumbs up It's beautiful out!

Sunny, 77, light breeze, roses blooming, spring green everywhere.
Can see the Cascades and the Olympias snow-capped peaks against clear blue skies. About to break out a sundress, walk the dogs down to the harbor, sit by the water, contemplate a bit.

My weather in Santiago is weird. It's cold every day. It's winter, as you know, with differences. Thank God summer is the best season. The problem is that is only between mid-year.

Scary late spring and early summer

As you all know we in the Midwest are beset with floodwaters and those on the West are scorching and burning. What scares me most are the twisters. I don't like to be away from the house when it storms and all my relatives live basically in the same destructive path as we do. In Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Missouri, and Illinois we all face the same danger every year. I was surprised we didn't have tornadoes this past winter, but that thundersnow was wicked. Now I know why- we are in danger of flooding here in the plains. Here where I am, we haven't had levees or anything break, but downstate hasn't been so fortunate. We need to purify this water excess and send it to the West who needs it. All these natural disasters explains why only certain areas of the US were populated in the first place and explains the ghost town phenomena that occurred in the 1800s. Nature has a way of telling you to pack up and move with the quickness.

be safe y'all, and maybe summer will even out and be disaster free for all of us

ps- if you have children, I suggest you check out the FEMA website for kids. It explains how to react at times like this with children demonstrating how to stay safe. Worthy info

Ironic to see this post as I learned GC passed away the other day. He will be missed.
