I will second Stevie's spectacular selection-

Chase the Fire. Heard it as the first song of a concert - very long intro compared to what the song may have been if not played first.

Is That It? They performed it live during the tour to support Elemental, but I have not heard it live since.

Recorded? would have to be "Chase the Fire" on React CD, still my favorite version of that song, and Cy pert near topped it when they played it as the opener in Falls Church, VA a few years ago! Heads turned, as I remember when he bellowed his opening call, it was great.

Live, it would be "The Fool", since it showcases all the band so well, and has always been a personal favorite.
I am the winner in any event.

    Queen - I agree.
That's the same tour I am referring to, the apring 2006 one. I obtained the FixxStixx from the Kansas City show and still listen to that opening "Chase the Fire" once in a while. Something about that long intro, a fan has to experience that at least once. Perhaps it was also the overbearing noise of the opening band, as the contrast of that funky bass groove intro and unusual drum beat really drove people out of the woodwork and down front like rats heading for cheese.

Everyone Believes In Something is almost always an incredible experience. Rarities like Are You Satisfied, Chase The Fire , Facing The Wind, The Sign Of Fire, Sunshine In The Shade, and Reach The Beach from the Vegas shows the past two years have been awesome to hear, partly because they're not done that often. Woman On A Train from the Friday night show in '07 was especially cool, with Cy shouting out, "I'll get there! You know I will"! The next night's show featured a version of Saved By Zero that was just incredible, with Rupert's keyboards reminiscent of its early days, and Jamie playing almost disco-y guitar that he managed to morph into a Pink Floyd-worthy solo by the end!

Are We Ourselves has been a great (re)addition to the set the last year or two; it's one of those like Zero, Secret Separation, and the like that Cy really gets the audience involved in.

And I miss Giving Up from my very first show; first and last time I heard it!

I grit my teeth thinking what rarities they might pull out in Reno that I'm gonna miss. Granted, I'll be seeing Cy solo in NJ, and it seemed like the better of two shows to attend since I can't do both, and have never seen Cy solo, but still...if they do something like Outside...or Cause To Be Alarmed, or The Flow, or Question, like they did at the Newton, MA show I couldn't go to, someone better have the video camera rolling!!!
Maybe on course to the best yet!
