    Date Change

    Hey Gang,

I want to alert you all that the San Diego gig is in flux right now. We know for sure it won't be at Anthology on the night we previously listed. What I can't say is where we'll be instead.

Sorting out a different venue in that same area at the moment. Will let you know when we've got it.

    Best,
    Lisa

Looks like I'll be at the Peoria show on the 7th of November, possibly alone. Everyone in my group seems to be busy that night, including my mom, who loves Fixx shows, but I'll let her off the hook since it's her and Dad's 40th.

Seems I need a hot date that night, where's the Singles thread on this board anyway?!

Well... gee, Tenohtwo... does that include dinner?????
You pass like the moon in silence
    In the warm flooded air
Looking back to those lost opportunities
    So often missed or ignored
A thousand times I start heading for the dawn
Only to turn around and face this rue once more
There 's something ahead of you

That would be cool. All the shows he has now we can't make it to them. We live in Washington now.

My daughters and I want to go see Cy perform his new music but, it would be hard to drive all those miles and get back home before she has to go to school.

I hope in the future we will get to see you all again. I will make more candy for the occasion.

Please don't call this a winter trip. I missed two concerts this year because of snow storms.

I wonder what a Cy Curnin show is like. Quiet? Intimate? I don't know what to expect. I'm sure I'll enjoy it, though.

Well, having seen him at an outdoor festival where there were a respectable number of people, I don't have the best idea, but I would guess it's like the most intimate Fixx show you've been to. I did miss the other Fixx guys, but Nick is a nice guy. A little quiet right now, but as time goes on, I imagine he and Cy'll be quite humorous together.
Maybe on course to the best yet!

    Cool My opinion

I did get to see Cy and Mr. Harper, at the open Music Fest but then the next day, a more intimate setting at Ulysses Folk House in NYC.
In fact, I was seated dead center in front of the stage. You are in for a very unique, intimate, and most playful (and all puns intended on the playful) performance.
Cy has made some interesting arrangements with some of the classic Fixx songs. Though I did not get to hear many songs from "Solar Minimum", it is to my understanding that is what I may hear during the November Solo Tour. Nick Harper will mesmerize you with his eclectic style of acoustic guitar playing and songwriting. He has a sense of humour to match that of Cy's zany wit. A great duo that really meshed very well together!
Jamie is still my "Lord of the Strings" but Nick Harper is a very close 2nd but in a way all of his own! Just have a listen and you will understand what I am talking about. Nick Harper has a MySpace page called Harperspace. Check out the page and have a listen. I know I am so behind as always with photo posts but soon I will get some photos up of Ulysses and Music Fest. Hopefully before November to get you all "Cy"ched up for the Tour! - Sherri

Thanks for the cool review, Sherri!

Yeah, wondered how it would sound sans JW-O...
I so agree w/ your "Lord of the Strings" appraisal!

Anyone going to The Abbey Pub in Chicago? I'm just getting started checking for close hotels and I can't remember where we stayed last time.
My memory is not what it used to be but I know there were several fixxtures in attendance who, hopefully, remember some details from before.

    Thanks,
    Jeannie

Jeanne, Dave, and I will be there.
I think your best bet for a hotel is by O'Hare, if you want quality and price. It's only about 10 miles away.
