Man is a beast!
That's scary... I inverted XTC Tom's pic and now look what happened:
Thanks for cleaning that up and just showing the pic. I did want to ask why I can't attach a file to a post? Sure, it browses to the file and is "attached" but when I preview, the attachment disappears. Any tips?
Thanks![]()

I called Times 0ut !
Ok--I have never done this before (clueless with computers). This was taken by my husband at the Magic Bag in October, 2000. I met another fixxture there from the mailing list--Lori (hi Lori!) I had a very unusually big smile on my face 'cause, well I was excited!! Hope this works.

I see that OneThang DJ had the same problem. I guess the file was too big. How do I make it smaller????? Sorry for my cluelessness. Do not blame it on my blondness though.

I will have to post again another day.![]()
no problem, you can attach a file to a post, and people will need to click on the link to see it, the way you were trying to do it.... having the picture show up automatically will also work, but what you were doing was inserting the location of the web page that your picture was located inside the IMG tags, what you needed to do instead was insert the location of the picture thats located on that page, not the page itself. If you go to your page and right click on the picture and then go to properties, it will tell you what you need to put inside the IMG tags to make it workfrom OneThangDJ....

If you have an image editing program such as Microsoft Paint on your pc, and most pc's today come with at least some basic image editing software, its simple to resize an image file. Open your pic with the program and look for an option somewhere to either Resize or Resample the picture into a smaller one. If you want to upload the pic as an attachment so people can click a link to see it you must get the picture file down to 60k or less. If you use the IMG tag like OneThangDJ was doing you can have the pic any size, but generally the smallest picture size and resolution that is acceptable to you is recommended to keep the load time down.from fishnoises....

Just blame it on my blondeness
At least you have an excuse, I'm supposed to be a techie![]()
Thanks for all your suggestions Octo, but you will laugh, our computer is 'old' --1997---and we still have Windows 95. Soooooooo, that's that. My husband spends all day at his computer at work so he wants nothing to do with this thing when he gets home. We will upgrade eventually, but there's no reason to now (we're not much into keeping up with the Jones'). I am going to try the IMG thingy you mentionned.
(Sigh.............)
