Hope that Cy will have a good and exciting time. How many folks remember the Fixx? Anyway: I am sure that people will give him a warm welcome.

Welcome back to europe and germany, Cy!

Of course I will attend and support. And try to say hello.

NO WAY! I love Midge and Ultravox! Truly sorry I can't make any of these shows.

    Back from Damstadt

Back from Darmstadt where I saw Cy playing a solo acoustic set opening for midge ure (ultravox).
    Set list:
    Returning
    Driven
    Bubble
    Spell
    Bleed
    Other Side
    Remember

There have been something about 400 people in the so called Centralstation. A very attentive audience which really appreciated cy's songs.

I will be back with a few notes after the show on Tuesday in Dortmund.

Cy tells me he is having a fantastic time on this mini-acoustic tour.

"Spell" is a song Cy worked up with Nick Harper. They played it live last year and I suspect it will end up on a recording in the near future.

    so back again

Back from Dortmund where Cy played in a Club called "Piano Musictheatre". A very nice place, hundred years old in an art nouveau stile. Not that big location, guess we have been something about 150 People.

    Setlist:
    Returning
    Two different Views
    Bubble
    Spell
    Bleed
Other Side (first words in deep johnny cash style)
    Remember

Like in Darmstadt Cy's appearance was appreciated from the heart. There have been more than a handful of Fixx-Fans around and i am sure that Cy realised that and felt comfortable. Midge Ure Fans enjoyed the songs too!

It is a lot of fun to see cy playing his sing-song-writer-show beside playing with The Fixx. He admits that he is missing his friend Nick Harper on his side. As far as i understood Cy he would like to create a more filigreed sound on stage. That's what Harper does pretty well. But this small shows are Cy's opportunity to learn a lot and grow with beeing one man on his own and playing guitar, he told.

Midge Ure plays a lot of good songs (fade to grey and vienna for example) and his performance is great most of the time. But for my taste he uses to much effects and echos. I prefer that Cy sounds natural and not blurred or distorted. His voice is still on highest Level!!!

Concerning Cy's shows and his fans in europe i would like to say: The snowball starts to roll... I am positive that a lot of people coming to the shows will spread the word to all their friends that Cy can pick up several new listeners.

Wow...I would give anything to see Ultra vox.... Oh.... and Cy too... LOL!!
You pass like the moon in silence
    In the warm flooded air
Looking back to those lost opportunities
    So often missed or ignored
A thousand times I start heading for the dawn
Only to turn around and face this rue once more

I was lucky enough to catch Ultravox for the first time back in April; a great show and they were much better live than I had expected, tbh.

    pic from Bochum

    Saw Cy twice again.

First show of the little Tour in Berlin, January 3rd. And Yesterday, Wednesday, 12th, in Bochum.

Bochum was excellent: Great set list and Cy in a great mood.
He played a very new song, title could be "Own worst enemy". No, it is not the download track "Help tie me down".

    Setlist was:

    Returning sun
    Touch
    Two different views
    Spell
    Other side of the story
    Own worst enemy ?
    Better luck next time
