New CD: George Underwood cover art

Here's hoping the band come up with some great cover art for the upcoming CD "Beautiful Friction". George Underwood did the cover art for 'Reach the Beach', 'Phantoms' and 'Calm Animals' and I always thought it was a great match for the band. I looked over his online gallery recently and found some of his work that might fit with the CD name:

Actually none of these seem quite right. Maybe they should commission a new one based on the title and see what Underwood comes up with.

I vote for the last image.

    Gives a new perspective on Cy's egg-shaker.

Why thank you, Heimo!! That is so good.

BTW, we have some talented artists among us here. Would love to see what The Queen, Diamond and others with the gift of visual expertise could accomplish.

Hmmm. Should we call them "The Portraits"?

I'm really glad for the insight on the artist who created several of the album covers.

    Here's a gallery of George Underwood's album art: http://www.georgeunderwood.com/pages/album-covers/93

Surprises me that I hadn't looked into the artwork before, given the amount of time I've spent peering into nooks and crannies on album art origins. Cover art, and the humble liner pages are aspects of the finished music 'product', which need to remain relevant and valued!

I'm an iPod guy so the chance of even having the CD in my car was pretty small.

Happen to have it, there happen to be a sign, and I happen to have the camera.

    Now THAT was a sign

This is on US 101 between King City & Salinas CA.
