    Poconos show

Hey all. Anyone going to the show this Saturday in the Poconos? We are making the long trek across the state. Where is everyone staying? Anyone know if there is a before/after meetup? Where is the band staying? I have SO many questions! Hope to hear from some of you and see some of you there!

Taralyn and I, along Cary and her husband Jon will be there! I don't imagine the band is letting folks know where they will be staying. Hope to see everyone there!
I am the winner in any event.

    Excellent show!

I agree with Bert- they sounded & looked great! Jon said their best he's seen, his first time seeing them play an indoor venue. I will get pix posted on FB soon.

We had a great time w/ everyone, looking forward to seeing you all v. soon at the VaBeach show!

Yes! They played "Take a Risk"!!! It rocks, and the crowd loved it!

    Really great show!

I could not believe that they opened with RED SKIES! so if anyone had showed up out of curiosity since folks at casinos will do that, they were in for a treat with the "omg, I remember these guys! how great do they sound! this is going to be an awesome show" feelings all around. We die-hard fans take that for granted, but it's nice to watch others drop in who haven't seen them for a while. They sound so much better live than anything, (unlike a lot of other 80's bands floating around, sorry to offend anyone). Opening with Red Skies was perfect for reminding people who they are, how great they are, and how much better they are now; an excellent choice. Cy's voice is still very strong, and that's the key, why not showcase immediately? The whole set was very well selected. Kudos!

It was a treat to hear "Camphor" live for the first time, and it sounded great. This band truly knows how to make music. Love their sound.

Speaking of music, they graced us to one song from their new album, "Take A Risk", the crowd went wild, and what fun to be there for the revelation.

I am very excited about the new album! I got to talk to Cy later, and asked about the new cover art, he told me the artist George Underwood, who did "Reach the Beach" and "Phantoms", am I missing another? still in a fog, will be doing this new album cover design, and I was VERY excited for them! This will be a nice consistent running thread tying their visual past history to their present future. A great decision by the band!

It was great to see other fans, and hope to catch up with everyone again in VB, looking forward to spending a little more time together!
I am the winner in any event.

    What Queen said!

Let's just get it out of the way that I love seeing The Fixx live! Will never tire of hearing Camphor and Fatal Shore live. They just take these songs to the next level. They performed Take A Risk from the upcoming CD (no release date yet). WOW! Scott said that Moving Mountains wasn't good enough to make it on the CD, so the CD must be awesome! Risk certainly was. The crowd was really into the show, which just makes it even better. Photos to come!

Had a wonderful weekend with Queen, C Troll, and her hubby. It was all-around great!
