A regular feature in the magazine has a notable artist choosing five songs based on some decided criteria.. often just their favorites or songs they were most influenced by or some other reason. This week for the "My List" feature, Todd Rundgren chose five of his favorite "Classic Songs For The Resistance." First pick on the list is "Stand or Fall" by The Fixx. Todd's brief blurb reads: "This is about what's happening to the planet and how doing nothing is to lose. It has a bleak sound, which adds urgency." Nice to see the band get a little coverage like that.. a positive boost! Many of their cautionary tales are sadly still relevant, perhaps more than ever.

The Fixx opened for Todd Rundgren a few years ago for a few shows.

Red Rider's "Lunatic Fringe", The Call's "The Walls Came Down", Elvis Costello's "What's So Funny About Peace, Love and Understanding" and Sex Pistols' "God Save The Queen" round out the list.
